Airbnb guests ask about ID verification

Just like hotels do, we request a photo of your ID. It helps us keep our prices low by deterring damaging, dangerous, or fraudulent behavior. Also, in the unlikely event of a serious tragedy, a copy of your ID may allow us to better assist emergency personnel. Your information is secure and we only request it to ensure safety of both parties.

If it makes you feel more comfortable, you may cover some of the digits of your ID number, though we prefer you leave the photo unaltered.

Booking.com guests ask about ID and Credit Card verification

Guest asks if we received their ID

If you haven't checked yet say:

Unfortunately we have not received your ID. We greatly appreciate if you could please submit your ID verification.

On the ID submission form, please make sure to spell your name as it appears on your reservation.
If you have already submitted your ID, we are sorry for the inconvenience, as it's not showing in our records. We kindly ask you to please submit the ID verification once more.
