Create Bento tag for building

Updated 2 years ago by Nishant Kumar

We want to create a tag for a Bento card so that when employees or contractors use their personal bento card they are able to add a tag with the building name. By associating a tag with a building name, we will be able to associate the expenses back to the building name. E.g. Mike used his bento card at a hardware store to purchase a toilet for "1 Main Street", then we need to add the tag "1 Main St" to the transaction so that we know to charge the toilet back to the owner of "1 Main St".

Step 1: Click on "Transactions" tab.

Step 2: Click on any transaction.

Step 3: Click within the "Add a tag" box.

Step 4: Type the name of the tag.

Format for adding a tag for the building should be '1 Main St'. We only tags for the entire building/property. We do not add tags for the units. If there are five apartments in "1 Main St" and if someone buys a toilet for apartment 2, the tag which will be added by contractors/employees will be "1 Main St".

Step 5: Hit the "Enter" key.

Hitting the "Enter" key adds the tag and gets stored in the system. You can add another tag by following the steps 3 and 4 above.

Step 6: Click on 'x' sign for added tag.

We should remove the tag as the tag may not be on a correct transaction. Since the tag is now stored in the system, contractors can now select the tag from the Bento app whenever they purchase an item.

How did we do?
